DAY 3: EAT

TUESDAY

"Fruits and Vegetables"
"Beans and Grains"

TUESDAY Event

Fuel yourself. Yesterday focused on the actions that can be seen externally, and today we focus on what happens internally. The food groups that provide the most nutrition are "fruits and vegetables" as well as "beans and grains." Of course, other food types can be added to these staples, but while focusing on the necessities and bulk meal preparation for the week- fruits, vegetables, beans, and grains come FIRST.

To stay organized and on a nutrition track, check to see which items can be purchased in bulk, what can be frozen, which items are in season, and which items can be combined for the healthiest and tastiest meals. Keep healthy snacks with you at all times and prepared entrees in the refrigerator for on-the-go eating. This practice will curb the urge to opt for anything quick and fatty during the busy days.

During times of deep prayer and seeking spiritual clarity, disciplining the body is important. Discipline in the category of food can take place by eliminating unhealthy items from the diet for a period of time, or even by "fasting" from food all together during certain hours. Denying the flesh helps us focus on The Lord.
